Red Quinoa Pilaf

Red Quinoa Pilaf

This is a surprisingly yummy mix. It’s one of Tyler’s favorites & it’s loaded with good stuff. Give it a try!


½ bell pepper (red) (chopped)

½ bell pepper (green( (chopped)

2 carrot(s) (diced)

2 stalk(s) celery (diced)

5 clove(s) garlic (peeled & pressed)

2 onion(s) (green) (chopped)

1 cup(s) pineapple (small cubes)

1 cup(s) almonds (raw) (chopped)

1 cup(s) quinoa (red)

¼ tsp oregano

Dulse (to taste)

Black pepper (to taste)


  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Cook quinoa as per package instructions (2 cups water to 1 cup quinoa – bring to boil then simmer for 20 min or so until all liquid is gone)
  3. While the quinoa is cooking, prepare your produce, almonds and measure out spices.
  4. Dry roast almonds in small pan over medium heat for about 4-5 min and set aside (you can just leave in pan so they stay warm)
  5. Over medium heat, cook garlic, bell peppers, carrots, celery, and pineapple (for about 8 min).
  6. Add the green onion and spices and cook for another couple of minutes.
  7. Add cooked quinoa, almonds, mix well and cook for another couple minutes.
  8. Serve immediately with green salad.
